The awareness-raising Top Responsible Company 2016 competition was recently held with Sanofi winning first place in the socially beneficial project category.
Voted on by an expert jury, the title of most socially beneficial project this year went to the company’s ‘Road-worthiness test for guys’ (“STK pro chlapy”) initiative, which is run by Sanofi in conjunction with the Petr Koukal Endowment Fund. The project raises awareness among Czech men about the need for disease prevention, particularly with regard to oncological issues, and offers them medical check-ups.
“We are pleased by the award and by the fact that this year alone the ‘STK pro chlapy project’ involved over twenty thousand Czech men, of which more than five hundred have undergone the preventive examination,” says Filip Hrubý, spokesman for Sanofi.
“Though our records do unfortunately show that the majority of the male population in the Czech Republic are ignoring prevention, with only one quarter of the men taking regular oncological check-ups.”
The Top Responsible Company competition announced by the Business for Society platform comprehensively reviews Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives among Czech companies and how integral they are as it pertains to the business domain.
